The Patient Journey

What happens from telephone call to clear hearing.

Every home visit follows a strict, 4-stage medical protocol to ensure maximum safety, hygiene, and clinical clarity.

Stage 1: Telephone Triage & Booking

We screen for safety before you pay a penny.

When you call our London clinic line or submit an online request, our team asks brief clinical questions to ensure microsuction is appropriate for your symptoms. We check for acute red flags and schedule an appointment window that fits smoothly into your family's routine.

We advise you on applying olive oil drops for 2–3 days beforehand.

Stage 2: Arrival & Sterile Setup

We turn your dining table into a clean consulting room.

Your registered clinician arrives in uniform carrying official photographic identification and enhanced DBS credentials. We place our compact TympaHealth diagnostic system on a table or side surface, wiping down all areas with medical antimicrobial wipes and preparing single-use sterile specula.

Zero mess, zero water basins, and complete respect for your home.
Stage 3: Video Otoscopy & Gentle Removal

See your eardrum on screen in high definition.

We perform an initial digital otoscopic examination, showing you live video footage of your ear canal on a high-definition screen. Using gentle medical vacuum suction, we carefully draw out impacted keratin and wax in just minutes. We show you the clean, clear ear canal immediately after treatment.

If no wax is found, your fee is automatically reduced to just £30.

Stage 4: Formal Reporting & Aftercare

Comprehensive medical records for your GP.

Before leaving, your audiologist provides a written clinical summary detailing eardrum health, ear canal condition, and any diagnostic findings. If we detect underlying issues such as Eustachian tube dysfunction or middle ear fluid, we provide a formal referral letter for your NHS GP or private ENT specialist.

You receive direct telephone contact details for any follow-up questions.
Hospital-Grade Standards

Powered by the TympaHealth clinical system.

We invest in state-of-the-art British medical technology. The TympaHealth system is the world's first all-in-one ear health assessment device, combining high-definition digital otoscopy, medical microsuction, and diagnostic hearing screening into a single portable unit.

Why equipment quality matters:

Many unregulated mobile operators use cheap, low-powered handheld suction pens or basic magnifying glasses without illumination. This increases the risk of scratching the delicate ear canal lining or failing to remove deep wax plugs.

Our TympaHealth system provides 10x visual magnification and hospital-calibrated suction, ensuring complete safety and comfort.

Preparation Guidance

How to prepare for your home appointment.

Simple steps to ensure your microsuction procedure is fast, quiet, and comfortable.

Do I need to put olive oil in my ears before the home appointment?

Yes, we strongly recommend applying 2 to 3 drops of medical-grade olive oil (or ear drops recommended by a pharmacist) into the affected ear 2 to 3 times daily for at least 2 to 3 days prior to your appointment. Softening the wax beforehand makes microsuction faster, quieter, and significantly more comfortable.

Do I need to clear a special room or table in my house?

No special room is required. A normal dining table, kitchen table, or side table next to an armchair is perfect. We simply need enough space to place our compact equipment case and a standard electrical plug socket nearby.
